Default 2003 50th Value

Hey guys,

A buddy of mine is going to sell his wifes's 50th anniversery C5 A4Coupe . Has all the options (he's getting the option list to me on Friday) Both tops, CD changer, cover, etc. 19K miles.

He said he's thinking $38K which I belive is too high considering you can get a new C6 loaded for $44K with the 100K warranty.

KBB says about $35K.

What your opinion of a fair price for this Vette.

Thanks

Might be a touch high for a coupe, but the circumstances might give it a little more value. I don't think you can walk away from any dealer in the country with a loaded new C6 for 44k. Start writing up the deal and see what the final comes out to. I suppose a definition of loaded could come into play here, too. It might not be the best deal ever, but if you know the car and it's history, that makes it more valuable to me. And no shipping or delivery surprises. Might be able to save a little on taxes too. Post what you decide to do, and some pictures if you buy.

For a private sale I say 32k if it is an AE and in outstanding condition. You can get a new base coupe for under $40K

I'm not buying just trying to help him sell it. I already have mine.

Sounds a little high but considering its a 50th, I'd place some value on that. Lower 30's sounds better-a local dealer has one here about the same mileage for $34K and some change. In fact, with 19K on it, if its a manual--I know someone that is looking. Post the options when you get a chance.

I'd have to agree with a post above..$32k sounds about right..It's already a 4yr old car..I paid $23k for my C5 when it was 5 years old and she had 20k miles..

I have a 2003 Coupe with A4 with every option except for the variable ride suspension. The car had 11,600 miles on the clock and I purchased the car for $30,450 from the dealer. They started at $39,900 and the car sat for over 2 months.

Price seems high. I agree with the $32,000 price (or less)

Original post says A4. Mid 30's would be a decent price, not deal of the century, though.

There has been an '03 Anniversary vert in the paper around here - low miles, not sure if it is loaded with options or not but it is well equipped - and the owner is asking $35.5K. I'd say that the $38K price would be high.

I'd be surprised if he sees cash over $30K for a coupe.

Sorry

The AE package has every option. I think the CD changer was about the only extra thing I could add when I ordered mine. So if you are wondering what options, it is as loaded as they come.
