Hey, I was wondering if any of the people out there could comment on the brightness of the Black Cherry Halo's. I was told the regular halo's are very bright, almost annoying to the people behind. Most of the other blackouts make the lights dim. I am looking for blackouts on the back of my C5, but do not want anything too bright or too dim. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

I just go mine and haven't driven my car yet but see if you can find Peter Pan---he has had his for awhile so he would know..However, I so totally LOVE the look of the black cherry's
I really like the look too. I spoke to Richard at Corvette Enhancements, we discussed the blackouts process for the oem lights. That look is great too, but diminishes the brightness of the lights. I would question the safety and legality of those. The black cherry halos seem to be the same brightness as the oem lights on the photos on this site, but looking at a photo is sometimes deceiving. I know a guy with the regular halo's, they are way too bright, he really doesn't like them but keeps them on because he paid $250 for them. I don't have a problem spending the money, just want to make sure I do not regret it.
IMO they (black cherry) are a little bit brighter then the oem lights, which was what I was looking for. The law states that they need to be visible for so many feet and the fact that these are makes me feel comfortable that I can be seen when the lights are being used.

wow, i've never heard of someone with the halo tails who was unhappy with them.
guess there's a 1st for everything.
tell him to sell them on the forum, everyone wants a set who has seen them, so he will have no problem getting his money back.

The Black Cherry Halos are brighter at night that the OEM and even during the day are brighter, I say go with them and you will be ok, as far as the bling I have put on my Vette the entire LED kit has to be one of the best changes to my exterior to date. I get nothing but kudos on them and like that I am the only one in my area with them. Sometimes to have the best is worth every penny and this is one case that having the best kit on the market is worth it

I installed the Black Cherry Halos and they are just as bright as the original factory tail light. But, they look way cooler.....
No pics of the Black Cherry Halos at night, but they are plenty bright!
Thanks Peter, like I wrote earlier, it's hard to tell with a photo. Have you ever had anyone that has followed you at night tell you that the lights are too bright? I'm assuming that yours are the black cherry tinted halo's? The guy I mentioned earlier had the regular halos, and has been told they are way too bright from people following him at night. Also, have you ever heard of anyone getting ticketed for having the Black Cherry halo's?

I have had mine on for about 800 miles and have been followed by several of our cities finest ensuring that I was following the law (probably because of my blower, and catless exhaust makes a little noise) and it made it past them. These are not as bright as the untinted models, therefore these are the ones to get, they have the most bling factor and do not blind the cars that always are in my rear. At night they are not Black Cherry no more, they are LED lights that look real good. Since I have the first kit on the market and the only one in the San Antonio Metroplex I have heard of no one getting tickets. On our hill country cruise one of the owners of a MY Coupe had the stick on blackouts and without a doubt mine were brighter in the daytime and he has not had a ticket and he lives in Houston, I say get the Black Cherry Bling and do not look back
Thanks again Steve, is your vette a manual or automatic? I've read on this site that sometimes there is a momentary rapid flash when the turn signals are applied. Mine is an automatic, do you know anything regarding the rapid flash that some people mention?

I have heard about it, but with mine being a MN6 I have no issues with the rapid flashing, so it must be an auto issue
The cherry blackouts are plenty bright. I wanted mine a little darker and richard was kind enough to give me a blacked out version. Don't have pics yet because of all this &#$! pollen turning my car green every 5 minutes i have it outside.
