which dealer have you had you updates/repair/serviced and been happy with and no damage to car or other problems.
How long did it take and what did they do on your ZO6
Do yourself a favor and DON'T take your car to the dealer for this repair. You are bound to have other issues with this if you do so. Just get a CLB from Corvettes of Houston and be done with it.

Don't get ANY recalls done and get a CLB from corvettes of houston or thunderracing.com IMMEDIATELY.
my car has already had the recall done. i can hear the column lock motor when i put the key in and take it out. i assume the recall has been done because it shows up on the car's service history AND even with the key out of the ignition, i can still turn the wheel (it isnt locked). ive read on here that if the recall has been done AND the bypass is used together... there can be even more issues. so i'm kind of at a loss here. why is this such a big issue??? can't power to the motor just be removed, then some kind of plug be plugged somewhere so the car's computer won't know the motor is disabled?
so i guess that's the question. for those of us that have cars in which the recall repair has already been done, what do we do? thanks!
In your case, the problem isn't the actual steering wheel lock, but rather the forcing of the fuel to shut off when the car reaches 3 mph. If the recall fails, (which they do) that's what you're going to be facing. I'd get the recall reversed to where the car is bone stock again (at least the steering column) and slap a $50 CLB on.
