Hey guys whats the proper steps in replacing stock break lines to the SS lines to keep air from entering the system and messing with the ABS box? I'm also going to install speed bleeders. Should I install them into the calipers first before strating the line SS line swap? I will be flushing the full brake system after the line swap. I know the wheel order to bleed from just never had speed bleeders before.
If you are not racing, I doubt whether you benefit from Teflon/braided stainless steel hoses. The stock ones are fine. I still have not switched mine out on my current car.
I had them on my last two cars and could not percieve any "increased feel" in brake pedal. I believe the only real benefit is that the SS braiding is crimped into the fitting and may provide better blow out protection when the caliper and fluid is super hot under racing conditions.
If you decide to buy new lines, you should make sure that they have covering over the braiding. Without this feature a number of people have had problems with their computer throwing codes after installing certain brands. Do search. Their has been a lot of discussion on this subject.
If you decide to proceed on this you might as well do the speed bleeders at the same time as the hoses. I have never paid much attention to bleeding wheels in sequence. Either way you will probably have a little air in the calipers to bleed out. Other than not running the master cylinder dry, there isn't much you can do wrong...
