Default Caliper paint for 03 AE

Yeah, I know that Mike can powder coat my calipers (and does a great job) and eventually I want to do that, but for this year it looks like I'm going to have to paint them if I want have something other than stock. SO, anyone found something that works that is at least complimentary to an AE? I'd prefer to not have Z06 caliper red.

You could go with Black calipers and then paint the Corvette script and rotor cap/hat thingy a matching body color.... Not sure if the rotor hat area is too hot for regular paint though, but if you don't race I bet it will hold up.

That's what I'm hoping to find. Something near the body color that will stand up to brake heat.

I haven't seen any high temp that matches your color. I was suggesting using the black brake caliper paint and then painting the script with regular touch-up paint for your Vette. It should hold up fine as long as you aren't racing...

Duplicolor's Caliper Paint Kit Blue.

After this picture, I painted rotor top hots and edges with 1200 F high heat rustoelum.

no need for high temp paint. the calipers do not get that hot. your hood probably gets hotter during the summer. use whatever paint you want. body color will look nice. whatever you do, don't do red (waaay too common).

hey, there is a Dupli-color Metalcast anodized paint emc200 red that will match very well. you must use the grey primer under it to make it work. i'm going to do mine probably next month. gotta have temp above 50 f for them to dry properly

Believe it or not, I used that to tint my IPC lens! And it worked pretty damn good too. Check this out!

And here's how it looks on the IPC with the UVs on;

It is just alittle dark, but works well at night...

Thanks, I'll see if I can find that somewhere. Mines stored in the garage, so temps shouldn't be a problem.

Just try what you like. I've done red and black on my black beauty. You never know til you try.
