Went to NAPA with the part number that tellefan gave and got a price of $139.95 plus tax, sounds pretty good. Just wandering about any warranty issues ordieng on line. A little cheaper on line but I like having a store front to take it bacjk to just in case.

My Delco just quit on me as well. Replaced with a Bosch for $90.

I bought the ORB78DT-84.

Napa has the smaller ORB75DT-84... not the 78.
architect, according to the specs on the orbital, the -78 has a width of 7" and the -75 has a width of 6 7/8", my battery tray will hold a battery with a width of 6". was yours a drop-in? i don't want to get one if it won't drop in with no alterations. thanks

The 78 drops in just fine. The anchor still fits also. Looks like it was made for the larger battery. David

No, it is a lead/acid just like the Delco I took out which was in perfect shape but just ran out of juice sitting in the cold garage.

i guess that the base is smaller than the specs state. i noticed that the ac-delco pro has a smaller base than the rest of the battery, its tapered at the bottom. i think i will compare the two tomorrow. thanks

I wouldn't advise you guys to buy one if it wasn't a direct fit. But yes, it fits just fine with plenty of room to spare. Zero modifications, pull the old one out, drop the new one in.
