Default Question about C-6 Z06 shocks

I installed my C-6 Z06 shocks, C-5 Z-51 springs, and '04 Z06 sway bars yesterday. I was AMAZED at the difference! I finally had a vehicle that felt like a Corvette, a tight sprung, responsive sports car. I am satisfied now with my car. Now the question, I'm getting a slight clucking sound in the front, on relatively smooth road, with slight undulations in the surface, sounds like the shocks, my guess is the top mounts. I'm almost positive I tighened those suckers down all the way, would the late model shock require a different top washer to allow the rubber bushings to crush more, it seems like they aren't crushed that much. Or pehaps washers under the nut?

I've got the car up in the air again, adjusting ride height, before I started, I placed tape at the top of each fender well, the distance from the floor was, 27" front, 28" rear, now I'm now 28" front, and 28.5" rear. I'm trying to get back to stock height, because that is where my car's alignment settings were set. Plus, living rural, and driving rough roads, I don't dare lower the car. Has anyone come up with a formula for turns on the adjustment jack screw/per ride height. Example: 1/4" up on adjustment screw = 1" ride height drop. I'm not sure how much change I'm causing, I initially raised the screw 1/4" higher than before.

Another thing, GAWD, are those Z06 sway bars close to the lower control arms! I was amazed they didn't hit. I looked and it looks like there is a relief cast into the control arm for it. I wonder if pre-Z06 cars have that relief. At first, I thought that was my noise. Well, I'd love to stay home and **** with it, but hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to work I go! Bye, Corvette, till this evening! I'd appreciate any input on adjusting, with arthritic knees, any up and down on those knees I can prevent, will keep me smiling! thanks ahead,

John

What kind of bushing did you use for the front sway bars? I had a clunk noise when I installed the z06 sways and then installed the polyurethane busing to eliminate it.

I'm using stock GM bushings on the bar, and the stock aluminum sway bar links, are Z06 links different (longer)? As I mentioned earlier, DAMN is that bar CLOSE to the lower control arm!

One complete turn of the spring adjuster bolt is equal to 2mm (5/64in).

The bar IS close to the control arm...NORMAL.
