Default What tires do you like?

I'm about to buy another car so I don't have to try my vette every day. I'm putting wider rims on the back. 18'' x 10.5 What is a good tire to go with. I will probably be only driving it on nice days or the weekends. Thanks

I like them too. Work great. Carry a plug kit and portable compressor just in case.

Goodrich TA Radial KD (King of dry) Rated #1 by recent Road and Track comparison in dry conditions. Quite, softer ride than runflats. Cheaper than Michelins. My second choice would be the GoodYear Eagle F1 GS-D3's. Anything beats the runcraps.

Well if you actually want traction when you hit it, Nitto 555R's would be a good choice. Like 270 on discounttiredirect. For 2 rears that is. I have the F1 supercar tires on the front.

Michelin PS2's. To me, they have great traction, and most of all the noise levels in the car dropped alot.

Same here. The GSD3's are GREAT!!! Much better than stock, and much much much better than Pilot Sport A/S ZP's.

This questions will net you 100 different answers. First decide what kind of tire you NEED. Dry/Wet traction, how important is either to you? Read some review on tirerack.com and check out their ratings. Sometimes the customer review can be misleading but try to work off of common sense in that department.

Tires IMHO are a BIG choice for a car that can go so fast and has so much power in the rear. Sometimes you get what you pay for, just be open to hearing everything posotive and negetive about any tire.

Buy tires geared for your driving style and climate!
