will 275/40/18 goodyear f1 runflats fit on 17x8.5 wheels

I'm assuming you mean a 17" tire. The 275 series tires are recommended for a 9-11" wheel, so your 8.5 inch wheel would be too narrow.

i'm the biggest idiot i know. ha-ha-ha-ha. i was just looking for wheels typed it in and didn't realize what the heck i wrote. i guess we all have our "special" moments.
