I have tried 3 times to change out my stock exhaust to ti exhaust to no avail. I have topped out my floor jack and my jack stands with blocking and backed the car up on my car tralier ramps as well. Came close today within about 3 inches with the right side still no luck. Any advice would be helpful.
If all else fails, find a local muffler shop to r&r the exhaust. I know it sucks to pay for something you can do, but it's better than having the car fall off jack-stands when you're under it!
Best option is still find a forum member or friend with a lift - it's a one hour, 3 beer job.
Did you swing the sway bar down? I was extremely concerned for my life while underneath mine swapping mufflers. It's un-natural for a car to be that high with someone under it, not on a lift. The front end was nearly on the ground! Be careful!
I had to use 4 jack stands and the Rhino ramps so i felt secure. You could try using a large blocks of wood under them (make sure they are solid and oversized). I have a rather large floor jack and two very tall jack stands so it makes it easier. On the old jeep I have to use cinder blocks with a large chuck of 1 inch plywood on top (so the blocks dont crack apart under the weight). Just be carefull or find a buddy with larger jacks/stands/ramps/wood/beer.
Either take it to a shop or use blocks to assist in the height you need! I have a pair of truck jackstands and they extend pretty high so it was just a matter of getting the Vette up to the right height.
I did it in stages so it would be safe! a few notches at a time on the stands!
I had to take off my sway bar in the back in order to make it easier! helped quite a bit doing this!
