I have done search and tried several remedies. I can hear a clicking when I push the switch. Does this mean the motor is bad? I figure there is a connection or I wouldn't hear anything. If I need to replace anyone have a used one? Thanks for any help.
Last night I went to lower the passenger window and nothing happened except the headlights would dim when I pressed the switch up or down. Took it in this morning. They had to replace the entire regulator with motor(that's the way they are built, so they told me). $653.05. The car is a 98 with under 22,000 miles and I doubt if that window as had 50 cycles on it since I took delivery new. My 64 is 43 years old with 63,000 miles and I've never had a problem with the power windows.
This won't help, but maybe give you encouragement. My 04 passenger window stopped working, hadn't used much since I got the car in Jan of this year. Made an appointment to take to dealer for repair (under warranty). I too could hear a click when I pressed the button. The day I was to take for repairs, for the heck of it, I tried it, and it worked! Did a search on the forums and found out this is a very common problem because they aren't used much. Dealer told me to roll the window up and down once a week and more than likely, wouldn't return. But then again, this only applies as a possibility if you haven't been using the window. If you have, then probably will have to be worked on. I hope it comes back to life for you, as mine did. I've had no problems since.
No, it isn't used much at all. I think I'm looking at replacement of around $300 unless I can get a used one. Any one out there have a dedicated track car that needs to lose some weight?

Sunday my passenger side window went out on my 01 C5Z, Wednesday my driver side window went out on my 99 2dr Tahoe fixed the Tahoe myself, it was 2 bolts that came unscrewed. Almost made me go out and buy a Bronco and a Mustang (just kidding). The C5Z goes to the dealer Monday. Gotta love those GM's. Best of luck.

The dealer had the passenger side regulator instock, which leads me to believe that there must be quite a demand for them. My town isn't that large. I could see a large dealer in Chicago, L.A. etc carrying one in stock. Almost all the other crap my dealer has had to replace on my C5 has had to come from a warehouse, not an shelf item for him.
Mine's an '03 coupe, and one morning, as I went to lower the driver's side window, just a click, it wouldn't move. Thought...great! Will have to take her in to the stealership to have a look at it. Next morning, both power windows work fine. Very strange. So now, I make sure to use them both all the way up and down at least twice or so per week. This is the only "gremlin" that has appeared in this car since I got her about one year ago.
