What is it really hurting though? Only thing I see is that it's helping your post count.....

????? Who gives a crap about post count???? Do a search for V1 and 8500. You'll get a TON of hits.

I don't see the point on spending the extra money for the 9500, the upgrades are not that big of a deal for me to have. I am very pleased with my 8500 and the only thing I like better about the V1 is the arrows, however, if the detector goes off and the signal is strong I don't need an arrow to tell me to slow down, because that is exactly what I am going to do if I am driving a little to fast.

I see where the 9500 has K, X, Ka, and Ku band, 8500 doesn't have Ku band. Is the Ku band in high use out there?

I've had mine for 3 years with no problems-goes from the Vette to the Hummer and with a radar signature of a freight train it needs the V1.

Some topics continue to get beat to death and the questions are all repetitive. If some would just do a search and READ, all of your question would be answered quicker.

First you take the time to come into the topic and then reply with your stupid symbol, STFU already. If you don't have any thing constructive to add to the topic please stop with DO A SEARCH BULLSH^T, one might have some newer information that would not of showed up in the historical search category, for instance the new passport 9500i a new unit that only a few people have tried and would like to get as many opines on this as possible. Just to add, some folks may be very new and not realize there is a search option, but I totally agree, don't post, just leave it alone.

Thank you, someone that agrees.
As to the 9500i, I didn't create the thread, but I would also like to know how much better/why it is better than the 8500 x50
