Awesome looking ride

What island are you on? I know you get plenty of twisties to drive on, do you have any good long straights where you an open it up sometimes too? Every time I visit a beautiful island I always wonder if I could live there because I would be concerned there would be only a few places to drive my Vette.

As for the glare off the dash; the dash pad hepls, but a good pair of sunglasses is a bigger help and adds to my charm and style.
Thanks. As to the charm and style, I'll just have to take your word for it.

. That's a REAL nice lookin Black Vette. You've got some nice black-outs, and shades on the rear lights. The Chrome wheels look REALLY good on them. Unless, you wanna go to something really expensive and fancy (which is not needed right now), I wouldn't do anything with the wheels. Chrome hella goes with Black, and those wheels were designed to match the car....and they do.

As for the mods you mentioned, the X pipe doesn't really make a difference unless you're doing headers and hi flow cats. Just adding the Z06 Ti cat back is enough and will give you a better flow and sound. That's exactly what I did. I'm waiting to get the whole headers system put on, so that will automatically come with the X pipe. I'd add a cold air intake, like Vararam or Blackwing instead. Its nice to know that there are guys who are on a "fixed" income and wanna play and do mods one at a time. Its more realistic and you'll learn more as you go.............

Good luck and welcome... You done VERY well...

Mahalo for the kind words and sound advice. Except for the Z06 Ti, a K&N cold air induction system (already on its way...) and a good tune, I guess I'm done...., "for now". This may be my last hoorah until I'm ready for a Buick Park Ave.

Very nice from one black Vette owner to another!

My dash mat was definitely one of the best things I spent money on for my car. Maybe it's because I'm getting older and my eyes are more sensitive, but I will NOT drive my C5 without it if for any reason I'm going to be driving in the direction of the sun. (Not even with sunglasses) Again, about the best $45 spent so far. And if you actually use the velcro tabs that come with it, it really does stay very flat on the dash.

Yeah, $45 bucks! One day I'll set the velcro tabs down. Nice thing is that the dash is pristine.

Paint: The paint is really sucky! Scratches, swrils, chips,... Wax, sun and the fact that it's a PICTURE from a distance does wonders. Still, good from far, but far from good. It's a driver.

Dash Cover: Where I get most of my "stuff"; Corvette Central.

Picture taken at: Hawaii Memorial Park, Kaneone (I live across the Kam Hwy about a half mile in.); the new section just befofe the new veteran's cemetery.

btw: K&N cool air induction system arrived early this morning. Install tomorrow am.

Chris, can you say SUPER FERRY. I look forward to driving up there with my vette in '09. Every Labor Day weekend we'd go up there for the weekend to ride our harleys. BTW: I grew up in Honakaa.

Ride naked, huh?

I have a friend who lives on Nawahine, and niece that lives on Keikikane...are you near those streets? What a small world. I used to live in Mililani Mauka (thus my username) till two years ago. At the time I owned a MR2 SPyder and took many nice pics where you did at Hawn Memorial. Shaka brah. Keep em coming. Did you see the memorial plaque to Bruddah Iz at the high point of the area you snapped your pics? Pretty cool. Your black beauty is just that, very nice job! Jon
