Dyno Tuesday - Fast Reply Needed
I finally bought my first performance mods for my 2002 Z06, a Blackwing and cam/headers. The cam/headers go in on Monday. I finally got my blackwing in the mail two days ago. I also bought a carbon fiber power duct.
My question is, to connect the blackwing to the powerduct, do I have to have the 01-04 blackwing coupler? It looks like I pull off the stock "coupler" -- the one with the electrical connection - between the air box and the air bridge and use it between the black wing and power duct. Is that where the coupler goes?
Second question, I also have a stock airbridge from an early C5. If I have that, can I use that with the blackwing until I get a coupler? Or is it not the airbridge that causes the need of the Blackwing Coupler?
Basically, I've been slammed at work and haven't had a chance to take it apart to get a good look at it. I think it will be simple, but I'm really pressed for time so I am humbly asking the forum for some help.
I want the blackwing on the car for the dyno. I had hoped it would fit without the coupler, or do I have to have a coupler overnighted to me?

Here is the answer to my own question. Yes, I need the adapter. COH has plenty in stock so I can drive over and pick one up without having to pay overnight saturday shipping.
While the airbridges changed on the C5, the MAF changed too. The change in the MAF is what requires the adapter rather than the change in the airbridge size.
So much for my Friday morning panic attack. I guess now I can focus on getting work done..........
