I'm interested it anyone has more info on this too. probably the first performance mod I'm going to do on my C5 is going to be better intake setup. I'm thinking about this one and the halltech one which seems popular. I understand this one is pretty difficult to get installed anyone with pics of the installation procedure or anthing comparative about the two?

One thing to keep in mind though, you will never get the performance boost that is advertised with these aftermarket intakes. They will benefit your car, but it is in no way like "bolting on a small supercharger"

I got mine from LAPD. Installation wasn't TOO bad... The plastic is kinda cheezy looking, but once in, you can't see it. I definitely felt a SIGNIFICANT SOTP difference!! I loved my VR-B2!! I swapped it for a Halltech Stinger when I put on my Tigershark front end, and felt a slight decrease in performance.

hundreds of us have...
Some complain about fit, some about look... some claim it's a water vaccuum...
BUT is is the only cold air intake with testimonial after testimonial based on drag strip E.T.s with tapes posted as proof to show 3/10 second reduction in 1/4 times and 3 -4 mph higher trap speeds.

Search in the archives there was a poll that showed that other brands of cold air intakes ingested water( hydrlock) more often than vararam

Default It's a great intake

Took me about an hour and a half to install, with the Rhino ramps ofcourse. And if you're worried about water getting into the engine don't be, there's holes that are meant to leak out water and you can make them bigger if you want, depending if it rains a lot where you live. I live in socal so it's not necessary here. I'm going to the track in a couple weeks for the first time since I installed the intake so I'll post up my results, I ran a 13.404@104 with the old intake it had (twin flow) Hopefully I get 12's.

that is a very good cold air intake. i would rather have it than the breathless performance one i have. but.. mine was allready installed when i got mine so... i dont know that i would gain enough to make the change. its not as bad of a vaccumm cleaner as mine either.
