my mom passed away last month and the thank yous i sent out for flowers/etc said "in times like these, we realize how much our friends and family mean to us."
i found the same to be true this year while going through divorce...i realized how much my friends mean to me.
and, many of the thank yous for my mom's flowers/donations were to corvette friends. i also received a large stack of sympathy cards from forum friends. it means the world to me, for sure.

I completely hear ya Liz. Wayne's father is starting to slip a little and it's not easy for him but everyone here has been supportive and that meant alot to him. We haven't gotten to meet alot of the friends we have made but maybe someday. We will at least be able to meet some of them at CI 8---but some (Nouman--Dave) can't be there so we will still miss out on seeing some great people. There is always Carlisle
