oil life remaining question

I change mine around 6K - 8K miles. The DIC is still at about 45-50%. The Mobile1 suggests and guarantees 15K miles, but being more on the safe side I choose to do it around 6 - 8K miles. I also use the K&N filter, which is way better than the $4.00 Fram filter. When you're using high quality products, then I wouldn't use the same standard for them as the cheaper products.

I just changed my oil & filter last week. This time, I'm planning on changing my filter at 5K miles, and keep the same oil for 8K - 9K miles. How's that sound....
