I would like to hear some opinions on Royal Purple motor oil. I am thinking of changing over to it in the spring. Just like to hear what people have to say about it
I use it in my Z06 and I love the stuff. I also used it in my old 99 LS1 camaro and it was flawless. Excellent product and it really does keep the motor cooler. I have only used the oil and some diff fluid but I hear the coolant they offer and all the other stuff they got is great. Give it a shot!
I used it in FRC right before I sold it. I put about 100 miles on the car w/ the new oil so I have no input on the quality. All I can tell you is be prepaired to spend about $60 for an oil change! Heh, I know.. Useless post

oil, filter, trans and diff fluid, $150 out the door. use synchromax, not rp atf.
From: Los Angeles, CA.... I know a guy who has a Lambo with Corvette doors
I recently switched from Mobil 1 to RP 10-40, no issues. I think any quality synth oil should be ok. There's lots of brands out there, if you can't decide, just go with whatever is the best deal.
is it 100% synthetic? i don't think it says that it is.i guess that would make it a blend.100% synthetic offers more protection.i use redline in all of our cars.
In the owner's manual the oil must meet certain specs ( spec. number listed) and I was wondering if RP meets them?
I have used RP for 13 years in everything from my Z to farm tractors to high performance boats. I use RACING 21 in the Z with snychromax in the tranny and 75W-90 gear oil in the rear. I have RACING 41 in my Scarab boat, 20W-50 in my diesel Excursion and 15W-40 in my supercharged T-Bird. I have had no motor or drivetrain failures or repairs in 13 years that were oil related. Maybe I'm just fortunate but I'm a believer in RP. Concerning your spec question, if you have a specific RP question, email them. They are very good about providing timely answers and have the data to back up their answer.
