Rearview Mirror Help Please

I am installing a auto dim rearview mirror on my '98 coupe and followed the instructions, putting the two orange wires on the drivers side of the 7 pin plug, and the brown to the passenger side and the black next to the brown.
The green light for the auto dim will only come on if the doors are open and the lights are on. the map lights do not work at all and the orange helper light does come on when the lights are turned on. The courtesy lights come on when they should. Fuses are okay and I switched the orange wires to no avail.
Anyone know the solution to this??

Your right blacksedan87 the mirror is okay - I'm the idiot.
I thought there was only one fuse to the mirror - which BTW I blew!!
But there is another fuse - so for anyone who may do this mod - beware there are two fuses that relate to the rearview mirror, 29 and 2
Once I replaced BOTH fuses the thing works like a charm!
