You can lower it about an inch and half on the stock bolts and you don't have to pay a cent. It's easy, and takes about an hour. Do a search on lowering and you will find some good instructions. I have mine lowered as far as it will go on the stock bolts and would not want to go any lower.
From: 90% of all Fords are still on the road.....the other 10% actually made it home!
Except for the part about not wanting to go lower!
Yeah, if you go to the top of the page and click on SEARCH, then enter the word - "Lowering" - it should give you plenty of posts to look at on how to actually do it step by step. Some of them will have pictures too so you get a better idea of what you're in for. It's actually pretty easy once you get started on it.
Hope this helps!!!
You can also go into the Tech forum and do the same thing.
If more owners would take the time to read articles on "lowering" - such as are contained in this link: http://www.frankhunt.com/FRANK/hobbi...5_Lowering.htm
they would find that there are POSSIBLE ISSUES WITH THIS MOD -REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE C5 GENERAL "EXPERTS" POST.
The above is especially true if you have the F45 suspension. Lowering HAS AN AFFECT on the ride characteristics - which, depending on the amount of lowering accomplished, can make the ride not only uncomfortable (consider riding with no shocks at all on hard rubber tires), but in certain circumstances dangerous.
However, I fear that the "experts" here will continue to post that A) there are no problems with lowering, and B) lower it to the max, and C) if you don't have it lowered to the max somehow you are less than a real man/women
Lowering can be okay - but please - spend some time investigating this matter (and I DO NOT MEAN BY READING THE "EXPERTS" POSTS IN C5 GENERAL) - be wise - not fool hearty, in the amount of lowering you accomplish - or don't be and have a ride quality in your Vette that is akin to ride quality associated with a 1919 Tin Lizzy from Ford

I have my '04 with Z-51 springs front and rear, Z06 bars and C-6 Z06 shocks down to the stops in front, and my ride height settled at about 27 1/16 front (ground to top of fender lip). Stock, I believe is 27 3/8". I choose not to lower my car, but is this about right? I can see with stock soft ride suspension it would easily drop 1 1/2"!
