What brand headers...........
will work with my H-pipe & cats? In an effort to save some $$$, I was wondering how I could use my exhaust components with a new set of headers. The X-pipes arent imperitive are they?
TIA

The only headers that I know of that are going to bolt directly up to the stock H pipe are shorties like BBs or some of the other shorties. I just took my BB shorties off and changed over to the Dynamax system and they definetly wouldn't work with the stock H.

I wouldn't waste your money on shorties considering the factory manifolds are pretty much shorties already.

Nahh, dont plan on doing that. I'm looking for a set of LT's (used) right now. I missed out on 2 sets in the last week!

I have Lingenfelter LTs bolted up to the stock cats. It's been years - I'm not sure if they even manufacture headers anymore though.

Thats exactly what I want to do. I may gut the cats out providing it doesnt cause a problem with the ecm. We dont have emissions testing here, but I want to keep them in place anyway for future sale of the car.

George,
how much power do you think is left on the table if you hook to stock cats and h pipe as opposed to your high flow cats and x pipe?
Thanks
