I'm missing the adjuster hole plug on my driver-side headlight. It is the black circular plug that is on the inside (facing the center of the car) of each head light, that can only be seen when the lights pop up.
I was going to order the plug today, but now I see a few different options to get.
I beleive the smaller cover is for 97-00. When I replaced mine on my 99 I had to get the newer black bezel that goes around the housing. Wasn't that expensive and the cover you are missing locks in the hole better. Hope this helps.

that's what the dealer told me, that they dont sell the plug any more, and that you need to buy the entire plastic wrap around. I'd rather just get the a $4.00 plug and be done with it.
that's the one I have linked in my first post (last link), but I was planning on ordering some other stuff from Corvette Central, so are you thinking that the Ecklers plug is the same as this one..
ya the small size (1.3") seams real small. I'm thinking it is the larger size (2.4").
But the Ecklers plug and the 2.4" Corvette Central plug look different. The Ecklers plug as little "tabs" around the edge of the plug.
I recently got a set of painted headlight bezels - they had large plugs with tabs in them. I never saw my original ones (they were gone when I bought the car), so I didn't have anything to compare them to

The old style will continue to fall out (unless you tape/glue them in).
Cost is ~$50 for the whole thing (both sides).
It requires removing, and reinstalliing, three screws per side. Total time should be about 10 minutes for both sides.
That's what I did as well. The attached image is from the parts list. There are two different parts that could be in place on your car depending upon which bezel design you have. My '97 had the first design (smaller size) so I simply replaced all the parts for around $40 bucks from the service department.
In 1997 there was the first design 1.30" diameter part number 10297460 and the second design 2.40" diameter 10435410. The design changed for the '98 model year but some of each made it out into cars. The old style (smaller part) has a coin slot in the center that can be used to twist lock it into place. The larger part dropped the coin slot. If your '99 is in from the factory condition for this part it should be the larger of the two. The 2.40" diameter part number 10435410 and should do it.
I installed the newer headlight surrounds on my '99 so I could take advatadge of the newer so called 'locking' plug after losing two of the old style plugs. Well the new locking ones came off also. I got new ones GM#10435410 and this time RTVed them to the surround. Hopefully they'll stay. The Ecklers is the old style plug (Smooth continuous beveled edge), the Corvette Central looks like is the new style (It has slotted edges and a deep slot for using a coin to turn).
Here's what I did with my '99. It's a cheap and easy fix.
Take the black top off of one of your spray cans and cut a circle out of
the top of it. Then super glue or silicone it in the back of the plastic suround on your headlamp assembly and it's fixed. The hole is only for lamp adjustment which you probaly won't do any way. If you need to just take off the suround.
OK heres the ultimate answer to this conundrum. regardless of the size, locking or not, old or new type bezel, duct tape the holes. It is cheap, supplies never run out, your lights are only on at night (when you are driving) so no one will see them, no need to bust a gut trying to save the plastic thingies that you glued or siliconed into place. the only other thig to say is..............Taa-Daa!!!!!
