Default The Color ??

Does anyone know the official color of the magnesium wheels placed on the 2000 Corvette at a $2000 sticker option??

I refer to them as champagne while I have hrard others call them pewter. I thought pewter was a silver color?? I ask Mr. Goodwrench and they don't have a clue except they think the paint code is T12. I looked on the window sticker and it doesn't list a color. I was looking for some wheel touch up paint to paint the replacement lead color wheel weights. If it becomes that big of a deal with mixing special paint, I'll find something close at the autoparts store in Dupli-Color.

I just thought GM would make wheel touch up paint.

Thanks

I have mag wheels withe weights in plain view also. Two options have them move the weights to the inside of the wheels or buy GM paint from www.ecklers.com they sell mag touch-up paint.

Here's the exact link for the touch up paint. I have to get some myself some for a scuff on one of my wheels. http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?p...&dept%5Fid=122

P1,

Thanks for the info. It doesn't get anymore plainer than that. Now, I wonder why Mr. Goodwrench couldn't find it? The wheel weights would seem hard pressed to get on the inside of the 'front' wheels due to the caliper clearance.

Thanks

It will work I think. They do on my Z06 and the mag wheels are 17/18" right? Yes, I'm pretty sure they will work. If anything you can put them on the very inside the wheel.

Bump for this thread.

Came across it while searching and am sure all the magnesium rim owners could benefit from some touch up paint, especially for the wheel weights. Option code and paint code is N73-WA163D
