shifter boot ring

does anyone know where I can find a shifter boot ring for a manual? its the part that the leather boot is nailed to( placic ring bezel) i went to the chevy dealership and said that I would have to buy the whole setup(leather boot and ring=$150) seems a little high

thanks for any help, the worst case is me just gluing the part back together!!!

There was a boot ring (as in alone/no boot attached) for sale on EBAY last week. The same seller was auctioning a bunch of items...try a search under either "C5 Corvette" or "Z06 Corvette", that's the search I usually use on EBAY...

Just a note - the 'ring' - if purchased from GM - requires the shifter boot also.

yeah when I went to the dealership they said if I wanted the ring I would have to buy the boot also!!!

The ring alone that I'm talking about on EBAY is at $5.52 right now with three bidders and the auction ends in about two hours. It's not mine so I have nothing to gain and no knowledge of the seller.
Use the search terminology that I suggested above (auction number deleted to improve your chances of winning)

If the ebay one falls through you could try Gene at Gene's Karshop (forum vendor). He specializes salvage. You may be able to get a ring with or without a boot attached, but should be better pricing than the dealer. If you go the dealer route, it comes with the boot, no options.
