Default Kumho here baby!

I hope I am not stealing a thread here. Just got them mounted and here are the results so far that I have noticed.
Goodyear vs. Kumho
1. The noise in the car has improved 100%
2. The softer ride improved 100%
3. Traction (dry pavement) improved at least 100%. I have a 03 6spd. from a roll of 25mph, and nail it, I would break loose and quickly hit the rev limiter (which has been increased to 6500rpm) increased timming and water/meth injection. I could feel the car launch forward a lot more.
4. Tread depth appears deeper, with a naked eye, I have not mearsured yet. The profile is the same as Goodyear, at least it looks like it. Have not tried it yet on wet pavement.
5. Wear. I don't know yet
6. Cost, more than 50% less!
7. I had to purchase and carry in the trunk, Continental Conti-Comfort flat tire kit. $75.00 Fits easily in the center section below trunk deck. I do not road race or drag.

Mine look really good after 8000 miles. I think they are a good deal for a daily driver. Certainly decent performance for the cheap price. It all depends on your needs. Suits me just fine.

I went to the dearship where I bought the car. I just thought they would have more experience reseting the sensors and all.

I got mine at the tirerack.com. They have a listing of shops that will mount in your zip code. The tire rack and the local tire shop did a fine job. If you are mountint new tires, you should get an alignment in my opinion. Best of luck.

I had the MXs before and liked them, but I am curious to learn what tire you are running.

I would love to post the photos, but I don't know how to upload them. I could send it via pm message I think. Let me know if that would work

I have Ecsta ASX's on my coupe. They have a higher wear rating compared to the softer compound of the MX's. The MX's are popular for autoX'ing etc. I'm a long distance cruiser and love my ASX's! Over 12K miles now and look like new!

Here's a pic!

Congrats on the new tires. The Kuhmos are a good tire for the price.

What kind of pressure are you running?
I just got a set of MX's in Z06 sizes last friday.
I agree with everything you said.
Have to add though, that compared to the runflat GY's, they feel spongy and soft. Of course, they are treadwear 220, so they are soft rubber. It makes me feel like I cant really trust them. Also on hard acceleration, the car seems a bit wobbly. And I just had an alignment, so I know its not that. Im running 30 psi cold, but I know that is for the stiff azzed runflats. What are you all running for spirited driving?
