Default 2003 Question

Hello folks, just a quick question. I'm buying a 2003 convertible MN6 with every option (except BSM's and high polished Mills), a big step up from my flood salvaged 2000 vert, it's white w/ white top and black guts and 27,000 kms (16,000 miles), nice Canadian car (300 kph/mph speedo, love it) so I was wondering if '03 non anni car's are anything special? Can they become collector cars over time? Thanks, it's good to be back.

Not realy special. I also have an 03, Coupe, just because it is the 50th year, some day it may be special, but not collectible. I'd like to be wrong. Maybe the special adition 50th will be worth something, but there were a lot made.

Not really. All other anniversary model year regular production cars have seen no real appreciation or special interest by collectors versus the surrounding year models, (1978, 1988, 1993). Low production and special models are what really drive the prices in future years so not much to make a case for collectibility down the road.

Nice color combo though Enjoy your new ride.

Chances of them ever becomming a collector car are pretty slim. But any Corvette is special - just ask an owner.

woah!!!!! all corvettes are collectible and valuable and will be worth more in 50 years just due to inflation, hell in 50 years from now a gallon of milk might cost $30k from inflation. dont buy it to try and make money down the road, go to work and do your best to contribute to making the world a better place. buy your corvette to be able to say to yourself " i must have done something right to be able to own America's Dream!!!!

It's a vert, so it's special, but sorry, nothing extraordinary.

The only argument that can be made is that it will be the only year model with "50th anniversay" badges and there were fewer made in your color combination. Since all the Anniversay Edition only came in Anniversary Red with shale interior and champaign wheels, nearly 1/3rd of all 2003 models made where in that color. By default, there were less of our color combinations made than the AE.

Just enjoy the car for what it is, a great piece of an American Icon.
