Default HIDs installed, what did I do wrong

Got my HIDs fro Dave (djmotorsports.com)
Installed them last night and I'm a little worried. Everything went exactly as Dave and his instructions said. And they worked first time. And I didn't have any parts left over........

What did I do wrong? Mods just don't go in that easily and work that good. I MUST have missed something

Seriously, Dave THANKYOU!!!!

These things are incredible.

old low beams

new low beams

The only problem I have now is that I like them so much I want to
1) try to outrun them, and
2) install the hi beams even though Dave talked me out of them. (and that is some kind of customer service, talking me out of buying something from him, thanks again).

There really isn't a good reason to install HID high beams unless you live in an area where there isn't a street light for miles. HID conversion kits are one of the most easy installs i've ever done....once i got the headlight off

I have my kit from Dave waiting in my garage to be installed. It's tough to find time to mod when you have three kids under five running around.

I can't wait to see how they look on the mountain roads here at night. The weather is just about right for topless nighttime pleasure rides.

Ya, that's what Dave told me. And since most of my driving is up and down the beach "in town" it wouldn't pay. It does make me want to see the hi's out on the highway though. Maybe after some other more important mods.

Oh, and I did my install according to the directions (and have the scratches to prove it). I did remove the hood stop bolt on the passenger side but that is all.

MAN I love these things!!

Has someone figured out the fix to keep all four lights on when in hi beam? That would be awesome for the mountain roads I think. Someone on the GM-Truck forum did it. I don't know if would be the same fix or not.

Yes it is the same fix. What you do is run your low beams off a relay and splice the high beam wire as a switching means to the relay. It's commonly reffered to as the High-4 mod.

Pull the stick towards you while lows are on and the Highs come on same time. You have to hold it there though. But with the HID lows Id be surpised it you can see the stock highs to good.

Default H4's ?

Look Great! Anybody know of an HID bulb in the H4 format. I haven't found a set of H4 bulbs that are as good as I'd like. I live in an area without streetlights for many lonely miles. In addition I was chasing a friend in his C6 to Lake Tahoe at night and had to give up the lead over the mountain 'cause I couldn't see w/low beams.

Today I will be testing NTRBL33's HID H4 in my neighbors car. He's finally available
Here's what the bulb looks like

A little embarassed to say so but I actually told the grandkids I lost a nut in the yard beside the driveway and that if they found it I'd give them each five bucks. That worked for about thirty minutes.

Default No street lights...

Literally... I am the rural area west of Houston... and this plug and play HID kit from Davis has been the best mod money spent Even my wife agreed.. she's not real thrilled about the rest of the mod money though! and that has only been cosmetic mods with the exception of the B&B single tip Bullets....

Great Kit Davis....

Default Wink wink nudge nudge

Obviously you are not an accomplished shade tree mechanic or you would have been able to either break something else while installing this kit, dropped a part and broken it before you got it installed, lost one of the nuts/bolts by dropping into the engine bay, or at least had parts left over..... Keep trying though, I'm sure you can improve, shoot, simply getting older tends to cause half of the above mentioned issues. Have a great day!!
