C5 LeMans Twin Projector Headlights?
Thx
PROS the light they make is AWESOME much clearer and better aimed then factory.
comes with factory connection. literally plugs right in.
can't beat the price and the quality, other then the mentioned included moutns, is great.
CONS
mounting is the biggest con. after taking out the factory light and screwing on the four (each) black mounting tabs provided i saw that the tabs and the factory holes don't match. NOT a huge issue but will be a pain once i am ready to install the light.
second they only come in chrome and it has been hell trying to find someone to paint them black for me. that is the reason they are not installed yet.

I am not sure after installing these lights that i would want the black housing. Those "vents" for lack of a better term on the top of the light actually lets light pass through them. Lucky for me I now have black paint on the clear plastic part that covers that area. the light isn't bright enough to effect your field of vision but is strange looking when looking at your car.
As noted in my earlier post I was right about the trouble installing the lights. There isn't much room for adjustment as far as getting them to sit flush with your fiberglass. They are cut perfect to fit in the opening it is just the mounts they give you do not match all factory mounting holes. It is very important you use all the mounting points in someway because without them your light will flicker as you drive down the road.
I am happy to report the low beam light is GREAT awesome crystal clear. Sadly the high beams need to somehow be adjusted. One points up 45 degrees and the other one sharply to the ground. I don't ever use the high beams so i haven't looked closer at adjusting them. There doese appear to be an easy adjustment screw for the low beams which i haven't had the desire or time to get at to adjust yet.
There is a quirk about these lights. Our flip up headlights appear to be on some short of time delay so when your turn on your headlights they don't turn on instantly giving your car time to flip them up first. Well without flipping there is still a delay between switching on and turning on. maybe there is a way to turn that off?
There is good news. The lights are sealed solid there has been zero water or vapor build up inside. At night when you are driving you cannot see your headlight at all due to the curve of the hood.
I am still torn on what i think of the lights. part of me wishes I would have listened to the old advice of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" I would also add especially if you don't use it that much.

Some pix would be great too. Thanks again,

First test fitting... shows the light passing through the top.

With just one installed notice all the chrome

Two different side views I also changed my front corners also made by the same company DEPO.

and finally the worst view of the headlights straight on from the front

As far as the other C5r style headlights out there I think i saved $300 buying this set and that is after paint. If i worked at a body shop or wanted to pay someone to do it for that 300 dollars or had access to metal bending cutting and drilling I think you would end up with a PERFECT finished product.
The other perk of this set up is the quad projectors. Some have, in my opinion, a strange mix of lenses or bulb set ups. I would really like a high rise hood to off set the humps of the lights. My lights came with four bulbs included now using H7 bulbs. It would be very easy to switch to an HID set up for around 150 dollars or so by just adding bulbs and ballast.
thanks everyone for the praise I just remember what it was like a year ago when i wanted to get these lights no one on the forum had any information on them.

Well, the same company you got yours from now offers BLACK and CHROME and I am getting the BLACK ones (when things finalize at home).
