Default please help, C1282 code

hey guys, i just took the vette out of winter hibernation, only to find service active handling. I ran the codes, and I got C1282. I put in a brand new battery right before the winter, and had a trickle charger on it all winter, so i know it has 100% power. I tried twice to disconnect the battery for at least 20 min, but that didnt help. I trried to reset the code, but it comes back after about 5 seconds every time. The wierd thing is that last time i used it, it was fine?! I understand this might be the brake control module? is there something i can connect and disconect , a ground, or something? where is this located, under the steering wheel? by the way, traction control still works, when i press the act handl/traction control button, in my dic all it turns on and off is the traction control. It used to say both active handling, and TC when I pressed it, but now only gives me an option for TC. Also, the yellow vette is lit up near my gauges. is this an expensive fix?? Thanx guys, any info is greatly apreciated.
