Default Glass top question

I'm still looking for a 2002-2004 Coupe. A couple of them that I've looked at only have the glass top. My question is, if you ordered that as an option back then, wouldn't you have ended up with both tops? Or was it possible to have ordered the glass top INSTEAD of the regular top?

It was an option to get one or the other tops and then there was an option to get both tops.

Default Glass top question

Thanks for the reply. I stopped by a dealer today and that's what they told me too.

I'm now thinking that I'd prefer the glass top, and wouldn't you know it, today I came across a car that I like with only the regular top, so I guess I'll look around for a glass top and see if I can sell or trade the regular top.

I wonder how hard it would be to get rid of the regular top?

Depends on the color. I personally am looking for an Arctic White top. As you know, there are lots of red and black cars out there.

You could get just the glass top if that is all you wanted. If I had to do it again though, I would get both tops. The solid top would be nice on those 100+ degree days.

In 1998 it was a $950 option for the dual removable tops.

Thanks for the replies. I got a glass top. I see what you mean about it being hot and it's not even hot here yet! Luckily, I have the shade inserts and I'm hoping that will keep us cool.
