Default Z06 Windshield Info

Just wondering what other people's windshield says because apparently there are a couple different factory windows

Here's what mines say:
43R-008008
SHADED HUD 4.8mm
SOLAR RAY
SAFETY FLO-LITE
ASI AP TECH.
LAMISAFE
M534 DOT-376

Some other people have this one:
43R-009047
SHADED HUD 4.8mm
SOLAR RAY
SAFETY FLO-LITE
ASI AP TECH.
LAMISAFE
M534 DOT-376

They are nearly identical in markings but I wonder what the difference is due to the number next to 43R.

I'm guessing it may just be by years then because I have a 2004.

My 02 C5Z (built Sept 01) has 8008 M534. I am the original owner and the windshield is original.

Is it me or does the windshield seems more susceptible to sand pitting.

After 4 years on my Z, the widshield was so pitted it was hard to drive on a sunny day without sunglasses, especially if the sun hit at just the right angle. A truck recently did me a favor. I was considering replacing it, but a kicked up rock cracked it and I got new one for my $100 deductible. If anyone needs a windshiled make sure the glass company replaces it with a factory part, not an aftermarket. I had no problem with the place that replaced mine. The windshield cost $900.

I just had a rock hit my windshield yesterday and was wondering if anyone had an idea how much I would be paying 'out of pocket' for this? I don't want to go through my insurance company.

Thanks.

I am not sure about this, but I heard that the ins companies will replace windshields if they are highly pitted. Safety issue.
