Default Muth Signal mirror mod

I've had this Muth heated mirror signal for about a week now and finally got time to install them. I think it's great- sorry just pics no video. The first few pics are pretty much what junk I had to got hrough, the last couple of pics are the pics of the mirror installed.
This is the stock mirror which everybody knows- don't know why I posted it

This a pic of the stuff I had to remove Stereo surround, driver and passenger side panel, door handle bezel, weather stripping blah blah blah- they're all in here

Image of the center console bare

Image of the door panel -bare

The gopher wire I used ( mentioned in the instructions booklet )

And now the pics of the Muth signal mirror installed

Take note that I did not do any write up because the instructions booklet included is pretty straigth and simple - the only thing they did not mention is - if this is your first time doing this- it'll take you about 4 to 5 hours because it's PITA to run the wires through the side mirror and the body
Also, you will need to remove the knee bloster and the stereo surround to be able to run the wires properly. Hope this helps! Any stuff that I forgot and you want to ask-feel free to pm me.

Do you have any close ups of the mirror not illuminated?

Another tip when you get them, it'll say look for the light and darker blue color wire for driver and passenger side specific, there are 2 light and 2 dark colored wires under the dash, the thinner wires are the ones for the turn signal- I made a mistake on both sides and splice the wrong wires, so now my wiring bundle looks like it came from a hospital from all the electric tape I used

I've been thinking about this one too...nice to see your writeup. I need to change out my cluster as well. Should I just take out the damn seats too, and do all of this at one time?

Thank you all. It's a pain in the booteh! I'd rather put on another Tigershark front than do this again. Plus I broke on of the tabs on the mirror actuator so now my driver side mirror only goes side to side- no up or down motion gotta get me one of these today at the stealership- if they even sell this in parts- I'm afaid the dealer might say that they can only sell the whole assembly, then I'm stuck with a power mirror that only goes side to side

Thanks for sharing these pics. I've been curious about doing this mod myself.

I did this mod a couple of weeks ago and haven't gotten around to write it up. Here is a pic of the blinking action

I also took the opportunity to add some VE door pulls.
.

I have some words of wisdom for those attempting to do this mod. The instructions are very optimistic and vague. Of crucial note is how to align the jackscrews (vertical for the one on top and horizontal for the one on the right if I remember) in order for them to set when push in the mirror. Also, I cracked the glass on the drivers side mirror and had to order another for about $130. That said, I think it is a pretty awsome mod.

Dayum, Dude, I installed a set of these about a year and a half ago and never had to go through what you did. Took me about 2 1/2 hours.
oh well, at least you got it done and they do look cool though.

I did this mod about two years ago and have never been sorry. A side from the novelty, they are a great addition to the safety factor.

My installation went pretty smooth. No broken tabs or miscut wires, thank goodness.

Anyone who's on the edge about making this mod, I say do it. It's not that hard and the results are well worth the trouble.

Great writeup, by the way.

Hardest part was runnig the wires through the mirror- very small space and hard to snake through, but I got it done. Hopefully I can get the tab replaced, otherwise, my power mirror just became a manually operated one but like the others who have this mirrors- Yes it is a great addition that should 've been factory installed
