From: Calgary, AB. There's a reason why white was the only color offered on every year Corvette. Proud Canadian German Jamaican!

A good rule of thumb that I heard many times on here is buy the newest lowest mile car that you can afford. And buy a vert, you won't regret it. Good luck.

I found my 01 with 18K on it for 25,000 last October.
Go to www.cars.com

That is where I found mine. Good Luck

Yup, been there. I've had great luck with www.cars.com in the past. Sold a vehicle and found one that I bought through there.

I've also been frequenting www.autotrader.com and www.usedcorvettesforsale.com

I'm sure I'll find what I'm looking for. I just wish I started looking a few months ago. Might have found a better winter time deal. Maybe not though. There should be more to choose from this spring (at least that's what I'm hoping for!)

Don't be afraid of the 01's. The oil consumption is not a problem..at least not with mine!

That way you can get the least optioned and desirable car for your money! Why pay more for an '03 when an '02 is identical? Buy the car with the options, equiptment, and color you want. Who cares what date it was manufactured? Just be aware of the model year updates and include the ones you really want into your equiptment requirements. This rule of thumb is for those that don't have an in depth understanding of the car or who want to look down on older or higher mileage cars.

Well, I went out with my wife yesterday and test drove a 2002 Torch Red Coupe.
Very nice, I must say. Optioned exactly as how I'd order it. Z51, 6 speed, 1SC option group. Loaded.
About 22k miles, so it's a little more than I'm ready to spend. I'm really thinking a 2001 with 40-50k miles will fit nicely in my budget for this little exercise.
It's just a matter of finding the right vette for me, er... I mean US.

Hey I am a new member and I own a 94 conv. I joined a local vette club and all the members are great and willing to help anyone, if you want to see and at least ride in many different vettes search for a vette club in your area. Topless is great if the weather is good, when its cold I use the hard top. Good luck and have fun with your new vette.
