Default MOMO Auto shifter install *pics*

Special thanks to Mister Peebody for helping me out with this. I took some pics for those considering a MOMO or similar shift **** that doesn't exactly fit.

After removing the console, and shift boot, you'll see this:

use a pencil, stick or any rod like object to measure the distance from the inner part of the shift **** to the bottom of the complete assembly. this measurement is your mounting depth.

On your shifter, measure this same distance from the top of your shift button rod down and mark this distance on the plastic with a pen or sharpie. Mine was around 1.5 -2 inches. (doing this by hand is fine)

Not wanting to make a huge mess with the dremel, I opted to use a hacksaw to go through the plastic. This also gave me better control as i could feel when i'd gone through the plastic and avoid hitting the metal too hard.

here's what it looks like cut: (cut off portion is raised a little)

Test fit your shift **** to make sure it fits. Push on the button to see if it engauges the shifter. Mine did on the first try. Re-install the shift boot and dash. For the MOMO, it comes with rubber spacers for a snug fit on the shifter. place the lower part of the shift **** on the shifter then cut the top section off the spacer that fits the best. Slide the spacer over the shifter and place the **** on top of this. It will be a tight fit. Use the included screws to secure the **** to the shifter and then screw in the bottom part.

Finished product

Also for those of you with Rockford or JL subwoofer amps, the center dash is a simple and effective plave to fit a remote gain control ****.
