I beleive they can work with the stock exhaust & will probably get you 10rwhp. However, the manifolds are just as good as a set of shortys. They dont look as nice, but are just as effective. I doubt youll ever notice 10rwhp at any rate.
Buy a set of Longtube headers. The 30-40rwhp is definately noticable & worth the work that goes into the swap.
Huge weight difference, about 20 lbs. lighter thand stock. I read many places you get 10rwhp from them, I'd believe it. They fit with the cats no problem even on my 01 with the pup cats.
You'll get a few hp, they are lighter than the OEM manifolds, you will have no fitment issues, and if you live in CA I believe they are CARB certified. So..., while not the big gainers of long tubes, if you can get them for the right price and can do the install yourself (which should be fairly straightforward), I'd do it. Conversely, I wouldn't if I was buying them new and had to pay labor- then it would not be worth it to me (but you may feel differently ).

I'm a big believer in shorties for all the reasons above..I'm jut no a fan the the prices you have to pay.
I bought a set for my Camaro, but I bought them used...saved a buttload of bucks....
