let me guess he shot that video on a unicycle with his pet monkey doing the taping? WTF, how hard is it to hold a video camera still. Nice burn out though.
I have an old set of F1s I've killed both edges on road courses. But the middle still has tread. I thought about mounting them up and doing some serious burnout before chucking them. Then I thought about how hard I would be flogging the diff for no point and canned the idea...
I don't understand the differntial comments.
If both wheels are spinning at an equal speed, the diff isn't doing anything but transmitting torque.
Now if one wheel wasn't turning, then the spider gears would be really turning, and they're not made for that (ask me about my 400CI Vega wagon).

What gear were you in for the burnout?
Right, if both wheels are turning at the exact same speed then the LSD will be fine. BUT, if you don't have a linelock and are holding the brake then there's a chance that the 2 wheels will move at different speeds. Especially when you're sliding sideways. The manual that came with my DTE rear specifically mentioned to only do standing burnouts with a linelock if you're planning on standing on the brake.
