How do those of you who have 2 targa tops store the extra one? I used to have my painted targa stored under my bed, but I just got a new bed frame and it is too low for the targa to fit under. Ineed to find a way to get it out of the way -- any suggestions?
I used to keep mine under the bed to, then I just gave up and sold the painted one - I just never used it. Problem solved.
I have considered that - the painted top was only on the car for the ride home from the dealership - but I'm the type to hold on to things just in case I need them...
I am thinking of making some sort of "holder" for my garage wall. I'm thinking of maybe 2 supports on the bottom and 1 for the top to hang it on the wall...
I have been wondering what to do with my painted top. I was thinking of covering it with a sheet and placing my attic. Do you think the attic would be too hot for the top over time? Will it be hard on seals or paint? Does anyone have theirs in the attic right now? What do you guys think?

Glad to help. If it's Pewter Metallic and will fit a '98, send it to me. I will store it for you and send a picture twice a year so you don't forget what it looks like.
I have a wall mount that holds an extra top which is a simple design. I bought it from a member here, but haven't installed it yet. I also have my extra tops in the vinyl sleeves that are made for the tops.

Here's an hour or so of Redneck Engineering that worked out OK and cost $1.79. Two pieces of scrap 2x4, the top piece cut a little smaller than the contour of the top. The rear mounting studs on the top drop into two holes drilled in the 2x4, which is covered in felt (the $1.79) to prevent any damage. It is real easy to stand the top in it and the bungee cord keeps it secure.

Works great, I used two rubber wraped hooks that screw into the wall on my garage. I keep it in cover and just hang it on the wall. Easy on, easy off.
Mine works great. The rack has two craddles that the front latches on the top rest in. I also placed two large hooks under it in case the top where to fall but have never had a problem with it.
