SeaLawyer-if I wanted comedy I'd tune into Leno. I would like to post a picture of my car as it appears under my forum name. It shows under picture profile but will not transfer. Under the help section it gives advice on posting a picture under your thread I just want to find out why the profile picture fails when I make a post? Any real suggestions?

It's not the size in kb that's getting you its the pixel size (640x480). The Help section gives you max size. Reduce it and try again. It took me a while too.

This may not be the case but i had the same problem when I originally tried. My problem was trying to name the picture "avatar" because I was using it as an avatar. It worked once I changed the name.

I think you might be confusing the avatar with a profile picture. If you want to show this pic when you post, paste it in your "avatar" not your profile.

If you are talking about the area under your forum name, that is called an avatar. UserCP/Edit Options/Edit Avatar.
Maximum size is 150x150 pixels and must be 29kb or less.
