Ok now i think something is wrong.
I just put my new z06 rims on my 99 coupe with no tire pressure sensors. I was always getting a low front left tire reading on my wagon wheels.
Now tonight it poped up low tire pressure and i dont even have a sensor i checked it with a old school gauge and im at 33 or so lbs.
Whats going on here?

It should just show blank for the reading.
Drive your car for a mile or so and see what it says.

Silly question...where are you storing your old wheels/sensors. If they are anywhere near where you park, maybe the DIC is picking up a stray signal.

Now that makes me curious. Do all the TPS's transmit on the same frequency/code?
Could I get a spare TPS and fake out other cars with false signals?
Must be the twelve year old coming out in me.
Naw, never mind. since they must be learned in (like a fob) that wouldn't work.

I think in the 2001 and later you can turn off the tire sensor monitor. I have a2002 with Z06 wheels and no monitors and I get no codes. Check with someone who knows to see if you can turn it of in your 99.

You could clear all codes from the Computer and go from there it might just be a history code!
I had my Z06 C6 wheels put on yesterday and had my sensors installed with them and no issues!
Why did you not put your sensors back in anyway?
Thanks,Matt
