Question about Commemorative Ed.
I am looking at a 04 Commemorative Ed. Is there any way to tell by the VIN if it is a real CE or a fake? Any other way to tell if it is the real deal?

I don't believe that you can tell by the VIN. However the 2004 CE was made in coupe, convertible and Z06. They are all Lemans Blue color with a shale colored interior. I have a coupe and the back of the seats say "Commemorative" on them. The flag emblems on the front and back and the wheel hubs also say "Commemorative".

I bought one from another forum member (fredar) yesterday! I never had any kids, but I can't imagine the birth of a child is anymore exciting that this. How long will it take for my heartrate to get back to normal anyway?

I seriously doubt anyone would attempt to fake an 04 CE. Even if they started with a LeMans Blue exterior, swapping out the interior to the unique Shale two tone would be quite a job since the entire dash is involved. Besides, even if someone did fake one it probably wouldn't bring any more money than the cost involved to do it.

Mine is very last of 2004 C.E. and has thin 5 splke chrome's they only have the corvette badge.
