Default A quick waxing for the Z

Dug the Z out of the garage a few weeks ago and wanted to get some wax on her. Did a light Dawn wash to peel the old stuff off and a coat of Formula 113 (I'm usually a Meguiars guy but wanted to test this stuff out.) Did a nice job and knocked the swirls back a bit........

Thanks for the comments guys. She still shines up REAL nice. Keeping her looking that way would require me to quit my day job however.

"Y'all"!?! Seems like you're taking quite well to Georgia.
I'm in Coventry Village right off of S. Matlack Street.

I was a bit skeptical at first but it does do a nice job. I'll be interested to see how it holds up after a few washes.

Are you really sure you want to use DAWN. That stuff is designed to remove oily grease.

Clearcoat is oil based.

People have told me that we should never use any dishwashing soap on any cars.

Nice car, by the way.

I use the Dawn once, maybe twice a year at miniscule amounts. I don't believe the clearcoat will be harmed in anyway by its usage. People tell you not to use Dawn because it will remove wax from your car (the exact reason I was using it!) I use Meguiars GC Carwash between waxes.

Good info here from the gurus: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...highlight=dawn
