First off, I wouldn't trust ANY car wash detailer to wet sand or buff.
I've had nothing but bad experiences with them, ESCPECIALLY on black cars.

Find a corvette club nearby and have them recommend a detailer.

Ask other owners a thousand questions prior to letting any go near your paint.

Wet sand and buff or polish the entire car for $350......?

That's too cheap.....I'd shop around and get some referals with before and after pictures of their work.

btw, why do you think you need wet sanding to begin with....?
Have you checked out a pro detailer and asked for any advice on paint correction for your car? (you'd be surprised what a rotary with the right polish can do in the right hands...)

Good luck.....

Dude, if you don't have the right equiptment with the knowledge to correct the paint flaws on your vehicle then, how do expect to get it right....?

There are guys available that do this for a living. Why not let the best person qualified do the work....?

The same goes for getting it painted if that turns out to be the best option. (you don't want to have to do the job twice......)

Local corvette car club members usually have favorite shops for your needs.....Ask around and get references......

The thing is I do The last 2 years I've worked on detailing cars and have all the equiptment and people to go to if need any advise.
But I know what you mean.
The thing is I don't trust anyone to take care of my car the way I do

A good wet sand should cost more than $350. Better check around.

In Houston it has been around $1000 for a professional wet sand and polish buff. Extreme care has to be taken around corners and edges. If someone is quoting $350 I would want to see a few of the cars he has done before.

From I guy that I know that's a body shop manager for Chevrolet, I was told about $600. I didn't know whether that was a friend's price or not. Seems like it's not a bad deal.

Auto buffs did mine a year ago... The work was not cheap ($1200.00) but came out awesome.

how bad is your paint (clear),,,do you really need to wetsand !!

wetsanding usually is done to get rid of the factory 'orange peel' and to level the clear....for show cars,, or real finicky people lol.

you may just need a good compounding with Rotary, from an experienced 'wheel man' to give you the look you're after.

but wetsanding is a must ,, if you're after the 'showstopper' look, but if you dont maintain it properly, after a few washes,, all those little cobwebs and swirls are back...especially on black!!

I was also quoted $350 by a body/paint shop that the dealer recommended to me.
