First thing I would do is confirm the transmission is topped off. car has to be running and in drive to properly check the fluid level. Also ensure the transmission fluid is warm.
What kind of "chip" did you put in? The PCM in your car is re-flashable, but I wasn't aware of any "chip" that can be installed. Shed some light on this "chip" and maybe we can offer some help.

i dont think its the chip now.......i took it out and its doing the same thing.....it was a JET chip...that was out of another vette.....its suppose to be preprogrammed....so u cant do any thing to it....any way.....its still not shifing right....im going to take it back to jiffy lube tomarrow and have them make sure its topped off.....i think they didnt know what they were doing......how do u know its topped off???? and is there any electrical issues that could be the problem?
I responded yesterday but it didn't get posted. To check the fluid level in an A4 follow these important steps. Car must be raised and level. Engine must be running and in transmission in Park. Transmission fluid must be warm. The fliud level is correct when ATF is at the lower edge of the upper fill plug hole. Replace the plug before turning off the engine, or hot oil will pour out of the hole. The transmission fluid pump draws the ATF level down when it is runnig. This is the ONLY way to confirm fluid level.
If it's not the fluid level (once you have it checked) it might be that chip you put in... the only way I know to adjust shift points is by using a LS1 edit program, or a hand held tuner like Predator or Hypertech. I have never heard of a chip being used.
i just took it to jiffylube......they didnt check the fluid right......it was about 1 1/2 qurts or 2 low......and they filled it back up and its still not right....the owner of the place made some phone calls and is taking it to a mechanic is know vettes well hes gonna put it ona scan stool and see if its a sensor or something on it.....but he said he doesnt think the trans got damaged........is it there fault?
Yes, but good luck proving it. There was another thread with the same problem. Bottom line is that they screwed up the tranny and is liable for the repair. Hopefully the manager will make good on it. But, sounds like the tranny is now toast.

This is why I do all of my oil changes and trans changes. I hope they repair it for you. David

Mike, I thought after placing the vette on the lift, the engine must be running and the transmission in drive. I could be wrong, however.
I was the one who just went thru msame problem, see thread Bad deal at dealer going to cost me$$$$$, Any way my trans was left 1 1/2 qts low at chevy dealer after service and it fried the 3/4 clutch pack in trans, Chevy did not assist and took no liabilty, I just had trans rebuilt at independent cost me 2400.00, Think I am taking to small claims?, car only had 20k miles on it. Im at work right now dont know if i will be able to post back, but this sounds like what i just went thru / nightmare!!!!!!!
