Default Anyone using the Meguiars Solo system?

Anyohe have any thoughts on this system? You can just buy the M86 Cut and Ploish Cream but they also have new Rotary pads with a softer backing plate than they used to for contours.

It is meant to be a one step system, if that is possible.

I have the solo1 system and have used it a couple of times. The kit comes with 4 pads. 2 wools pads and 2 foam pads. Each set has a heavy pad and a finishing pad. I've only used the foam pads so far and I'm very please with the results. The new backing plate, combined with the pad design is supposed to get you closer to a swirl free finish with the rotary. You should check out Meguiarsonline.com forum for more info on the solo1 system. There are some professional detailers there that can give you more info on the solo1 system. You could do a search on solo1 and find existing posts.

I used it on a black car and finished the process with the DA and a finishing pad with M80. I did not want to take a chance of having any swirls on an expensive Mercedes Benz.

This should be in the "Car Care Products" forum.
