Once you have sold an item on the forum how do you remove the thread to let everyone know????

I don't know if anyone except a moderator can remove or delete a thread -

Most just post SOLD at the end of their thread - or you can contact a Mod and ask them to delete the thread. Posting SOLD is usually sufficient though.

First - in BOLD lettering in the body (at the start of the thread, not the title) note the item is sold.

Next - if you want too have the thread closed PM a mod.

If you open the first post of the thread and go into edit and or/advanced you can delete the wording in the first post and then simply type in sold, that way when you put the cursor over the post it will come up sold. You may be able to go into the advanced button and change the title.
