C6 Z06 Shocks
As far as the Texas legal system is concerned I bought the car "as-is"! Never mind the documentation that I have indicating that the car sold to me was not in the condition as described in their E-Bay ad, e-mails and phone conversationsl. The Texas DMV attorney says the fact that my wife "accepted" the car at the time of delivery indicates that she was satisfied with the condition of the car. Never mind that the dealer said they would pay for my out-of-pocket repairs to the car to make it safe. (Brakes and tires.)
The attorney told me that mine was just one of 25 cases against MIS Auto. (15 others were pending - WTF!!!) Some would win and other like mine would lose. The dealer would be fined on account that they sold me the car without first getting the title. They would not be fined for the late delivery of the title to me as I got it on the 20th "working" (as required by Texas law) day after the sale. I counted weekends and came up with 26 days....
I still want to pursue them in Federal court. My wife says to "Drop it!"
The car is now at the dealership having a FULL service. "ALL" fluids are being replaced before their time. Plugs and wires are also being replaced. Tires and full brake system has already been done. The car is having a complete going over to check what needs to be corrected. Hopfully, nothing other than shocks. They are next on my list..... K&N cold air system has been installed and a C6 exhust system will come on board as soon as I get the shocks done.
So far the car runs great (remember my 140mph "locked" tread...?) and I am happy with it. Thanks to all the advise and symphaty.
