Need help

I just got my car out of bed after a long Iowa winter. It was still cool and when I turned on my heater there was a loud growl and my steering wheel started to shake. It did this until I turned off the fan. Any idea what has happened. I figured the fan motor must be gone but I don't know. Can anyone help? Thanks

That really happened to me! The neighbor cat resting inside the fan shroud. Tried to start car. Motor hesitated before turning over. You can guess the rest.

I wonder if you don't have an AC compressor problem? Try turning on the fan w/o having the AC on (you wil have to set a mode that does not have the defrost on, then make sure the AC button s not lit)

And if it's effecting your steering wheel, it could be frozen up. If so, it will tell you soon enough when the belt breaks. Have you driven it at all?
