Default Rear Hatch closing adjustments

I have to open both doors in order to close the rear hatch. The right side corner seems to be hanging up someplace since it needs a healthy slam to close. Otherwise my "hatch ajar" message comes on. How can you adjust? I'm afraid that one day I'll slam it down and shatter the gla$$.

Why slam it? Repeated slamming will only cause other problems, hinges, etc., down the road. I lower mine and then firmly apply bump pressure with a hand at each rear corner, at the same time. Works every time and no excessive wear and tear. I learned a long time ago not to slam doors, hatches, on any of my cars. It only accelerates the onset of rattles, loose panels, lock and hinge failure and occasionally, broken glass.

Cheers
