I just bought my 03 Z06 last night... I noticed something... me comming from a 00 TA... it was fairly easy to get it into Reverse... is there some trick to gettin it in there easier? cause man You really have to push it in there... 1!! more thing... do Z06's not come with the fog lights behind the little mesh looking grill?

Congrats! Nah, the Z's don't come with fogs although some people install them aftermarket. As far as the reverse shift, you just have to feel it--it will start coming easier. Try depressing the clutch pedal faster than you are used to; the C5Z clutch likes a fast press for some reason.. Congrats again.

No fog lights, and once you get used to it getting into reverse shouldn't be a problem.

The wirinig is in place for the fog lights. All you have tio do is pick up a set of lights (most go with aftermarket PIAAs) and a new switch that combines the trunk release and the lights from a Chevy dealer. The instructions are on the board, do a search...

PS CONGRATS on the Z...

Congrats on the Z!

If it is difficult to get it into reverse try putting it into 2nd, let the clutch out a bit, then try for reverse. Same thing used to happen with my SS.

Releasing the parking brake first makes getting into reverse a lot easier too.

Sometimes there is a little gear clash when shifting into reverse and the gears will not mesh right away. After you get it into the reverse gate let the clutch out just a little and it will slide into gear if it isn't already in gear. If in gear it will move just a bit (not a problem if your other foot is on the brake).

Looks sweet... love that mod red interior!! And trust me you will want the PIAAA fogs once you drive at night with stock headlights, like was said above just get the GM replacement switch that adds the fogs and your good.

You should never get clash. Shift to a forward gear before going to reverse.
