The passenger door lock will not unlock and now the window on the same door won't operate. Any ideas on where to start before pulling off the door panel? Thanks, Golferman.
I had a similar problem where all of the sudden, I lost all control of the operations of the door all at once. There is a connector in the boot of the door hinge. (I think I took a picture of this. If I can find it, I'll post it). It is a real pain to reach, but I was able to get to mine and I cleaned it with some electronic component cleaner. I then added DI grease to prevent future corrosion. After that, everything started working again. The only other thing I know to check before tearing the door panel is to check the fuses.
If you have exhausted these, bakersfield did an exceptional write-up on do-it-yourself repair of the DCM (door control module) due to faulty relays.
Following up with my previous thread directly above, here is the picture I promised...
All I can say is this is one major pain to reach, and even a greater pain to pry apart, but better me than the $tealer$hip!! If anyone knows the magical procedure to pry these apart, please chime in.
